Using the tool

Will my animation render exactly as it looks in my browser?

Almost always, yes. Every frame is rendered one by one at its exact moment, not screen-recorded, so motion stays smooth and no frames are dropped. The only differences come from fonts that are only on Windows or Mac, which use the closest free font, and from content loaded from other websites that may not load. The Fonts panel shows this before you render.

What kind of files work best?

Files whose animation plays by itself: CSS animations, SVG animations (<animate>, <animateTransform> or CSS) or JavaScript. Links to Google Fonts, CDNs and online images work. Animations that need a click or hover, and live data, can't be rendered. Check that your file plays correctly in a browser first.

What files can I upload?

HTML files (.html or .htm) and SVG files (.svg), up to 5 MB each. You can also paste the code instead of uploading.

Can I render many files at once?

Yes, on paid plans. Drop several files of the same type (all HTML or all SVG) into a tool: up to 20 on Starter, 30 on Pro and 60 on Business. They all use the same settings, and you can download them as separate files or as one ZIP. Free renders one file at a time.

Will my render look like the preview?

Yes, in size, layout and timing: the preview plays at the exact size you choose. The quality setting only changes how sharp the final file is and how big it gets. With several files, the preview shows the first one.

What is the difference between Standard and High quality?

High keeps sharper detail and makes a bigger file. Standard makes a lighter file that still looks clean. The choice appears for every format: MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM, GIF, WebP, APNG, PNG and JPG.

What do Still and Animated mean for GIF, WebP and APNG?

Still saves one frame, like a picture. Animated plays the whole animation for the length you set.

Can I keep a transparent background?

Yes, in WebM, GIF, WebP, APNG and PNG, as long as your file has no background of its own. You can also fill the empty area with white, black or any colour. MP4, MOV, MKV and JPG can't store transparency, so they use a colour.

Can I add a voice-over or sound effects?

Yes, on paid plans, for MP4, MOV, MKV and WebM. Upload a voice-over or sound effects as an MP3, WAV or M4A file. Longer audio is cut at the end of the video. Without audio, the video has a silent track.

What happens to my fonts?

Google Fonts and fonts linked or embedded in your file render exactly. Windows and Mac fonts such as Segoe UI or Georgia can't be installed on our servers for licence reasons, so the video uses the closest free font: Arial, Times New Roman and Calibri keep the same size, and others look similar. The Fonts panel marks each font in your file as Exact font or Similar font, before you render. On paid plans the preview shows the same fonts as the video, and you can upload your own font file for any font in the list (TTF, OTF, WOFF or WOFF2, up to 10 per render). Uploaded fonts show in the preview and the video, are used only for that render and are deleted after it. Only upload fonts you have the right to use.

How do text placeholders and CSV versions work?

Write {{title}} or any other name in double braces in your file. A text field appears for each one, and there is no limit on how many you use. To make many versions, download the sample CSV, add one row per version and upload it. You get one file for every row, as separate files or one ZIP: up to 20 rows on Starter, 30 on Pro and 60 on Business. Free renders one version at a time.

What sizes can I render?

Pick one of the ready sizes (landscape, vertical and square) or type your own width and height in whole numbers. GIF, WebP and APNG also get smaller sizes, down to small stickers. The largest size depends on your plan: 720p on Free, 1080p on Starter and 4K on Pro and Business. GIF goes up to 1280 × 720, and WebP and APNG up to 1080p, because larger files get too heavy to play. If you type a bigger size, it is lowered to fit and keeps its shape.

How long can my animation be?

Up to 10 seconds on Free and up to 60 seconds on Starter, Pro and Business. Some formats have their own limit: GIF, WebP and APNG up to 15 seconds, and video formats up to 60 seconds. Length is set in whole seconds.

Which frame rates can I choose?

Videos can be 24, 30 or 60 fps, and GIF, WebP and APNG 10, 15 or 24 fps. Free renders at 24 fps, Starter goes up to 30 fps, and Pro and Business up to 60 fps.

How does the tool find the length of my animation?

When you add a single file, the tool measures its animations and shows the length it found under the length setting, in whole seconds. It only shows a length it is sure of, and only up to the longest length the format allows. If your animation loops, it suggests a length where the loop ends cleanly. The length starts at 5 seconds and you can always change it yourself.

How long does a render take?

It depends on the size, length and frame rate. When many people render at once, your render waits in a short queue and starts automatically. The tool shows when it is waiting and the progress once it starts, until your file is ready. You can run one render at a time, and a batch counts as one render.

Plans and billing

How are credits used?

Each render uses credits based on size, length, frame rate, quality and format. The tool shows the exact number before you render.

How many credits do I get on Free?

The Free plan gives you 20 credits a month. They reset to 20 every month; unused Free credits don't carry over.

Can I buy extra credits?

Yes. Credit packs work on every plan, including Free, and you can buy them as often as you need. Packs add credits only. Your plan's limits, like size, length and watermark, stay the same. You need an account first.

Do unused credits carry over?

Plan credits reset at the start of each billing period. When you upgrade, your unused plan credits move to the new plan and last until its next reset. Credits from packs never expire. When you render, your plan credits are always used first, then your pack credits. If a render needs more than your plan credits have left, the rest comes from your packs.

Should I subscribe or pay once?

Both cost the same. A subscription renews automatically until you cancel. A one-time payment gives you the plan for 1 month (3 months on Business), never renews and has nothing to cancel. When a one-time plan ends, your account moves to Free and you can buy any plan again.

What is the Business plan?

Everything in Pro, billed every 3 months. It includes 16,500 credits for the 3 months and batch renders of up to 60 files at once.

Can I change or cancel my plan?

Upgrades start right away. You pay the full price of the new plan, a new billing period starts that day, and you get the new plan's credits at once, plus your unused plan credits. To move to a smaller plan, let your current plan end first: on a subscription, cancel it in Manage billing, and when the period you paid for ends you can choose any plan. You can cancel a subscription anytime; your plan runs to the end of the billing period, then moves to Free. Changed your mind? Choose your plan again before that date and keep it with one click.

What is your refund policy?

We don't refund unused credits, but if a render fails on our end, the credits are automatically returned to your account. You're never charged for a file you didn't receive.

When will the API be available?

The API, webhooks and share links are coming soon. Pro and Business users will get them first.

Files and rights

How long are my files kept?

Your renders stay in your history for 24 hours on Free, 3 days on Starter, 7 days on Pro and 15 days on Business. Each file can be downloaded up to 3 times. The files you upload are deleted as soon as the render is done.

Where does the watermark appear?

Free renders carry a small, light mark in one corner. Paid plans have no watermark.

Can I use my renders commercially?

On Starter, Pro and Business, yes. Free renders carry a watermark and are for personal and preview use.

Can I sell or upload files made from your templates?

On the Free plan, renders made from templates are for personal and preview use and carry a watermark. On paid plans you can use them in your own commercial projects. On any plan, you may not upload template-based files to stock sites or resell the templates.
